From Plant to Remedy: Herbal Craft Weekends (February – October 2026)
Join us for our immersive weekend herbal medicine-making classes. These classes are also part of our year-long herbal training, and we are excited to open them to individuals not in the full program. If you are in the program, these hours will count toward your 200-hour certification.
Each class is hands-on. You will touch plants, blend medicine, and leave with the formulas you create.
- Cost is $45 per class with supplies included unless otherwise noted (Preregistration), $50 day of
- We strongly recommend registering, as we only have space for 8 students per class

Whether you are brand new to herbs or ready to deepen a long-standing relationship with plants, these weekends are designed to give you practical skills, embodied learning, and seasonal wisdom you can begin using immediately.
Weekend #4- May 16 and 17: Health and Medicine Making for the Reproductive System
This weekend is for anyone who wants to care for themselves and their loved ones with simple, effective plant medicine rather than panic or pharmaceuticals. A hands-on weekend devoted to reproductive wellness and the everyday apothecary. We will make accessible, effective plant medicines that nurture the body through change, discomfort, and renewal.
Class: Herbs for Male Health with Jesus Garcia
Explore herbs that support stamina, reproductive vitality, emotional balance, and long-term resilience. This class focuses on practical plant allies for energy, circulation, and everyday strength. Participants will learn how to build supportive blends that nourish rather than overstimulate, creating sustainable vitality.

Class: Herbal Medicine Chest: Moon Time Soothing Salves for Cycle Support
Join Samantha Goldberg Blackthorn for a hands-on class devoted to softening the harder days of the cycle. Craft an herbal salve for cramp relief while learning about plants that ease tension, encourage circulation, and support sensitive nervous systems. This class focuses on practical, accessible remedies that bring comfort and steadiness during monthly shifts.

Class: Seasonal Cycles and Doshas with Katyee Hernandez
Learn how the turning of the year influences the three doshas and the rhythms of the body. This class explores simple Ayurvedic practices, foods, and herbs that help us stay balanced as we move through heat, wind, and cold. You will leave with practical tools to meet each season with steadiness instead of strain.

Weekend #6 July 19: Medicine Making for Children
This weekend is for those who want to create gentle herbal formulas for children and learn how to support little bodies with care.
Class: Herbal Medicine Chest-Herbal Formulas for Children
Children respond beautifully to plants when we meet them with care and common sense. This hands-on class focuses on gentle, effective preparations designed for small bodies and sensitive systems. Learn how to craft remedies with flavors and textures children will actually accept, while building confidence in everyday herbal care.
Take home: Diaper powder, herbal bath blend, and infused oil.

Weekend #7 August 1st and 2nd: Transition to Autumn
Class: Herbal Medicine Chest: Create your own Fall/Winter tonic (Fire Cider)
Join Samantha Goldberg Blackthorn for this hands-on kitchen medicine workshop centered on fire cider, a traditional blend of garlic, onion, ginger, citrus, and herbs steeped in apple cider vinegar. Both food and medicine, this warming tonic supports immunity, digestion, and circulation during the colder months. Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar is credited with naming this beloved folk remedy “fire cider,” helping to revive its place in modern herbal practice. Participants will prepare a batch together and learn how to incorporate it into daily seasonal care.

This weekend is for anyone who feels called to work with plants in ceremony, honor ancestors, and deepen spiritual relationship
Class: Herbs for Smoke Purification and Ritual
Join La Femme Mística to explore traditional plants used for smoke purification, incense, and ritual bathing during the season of remembrance. This hands-on class introduces aromatic herbs that support reflection, release, and ancestral honoring. Participants will create their own blend to carry the work of ritual and renewal into their homes.

Join Samantha Goldberg Blackthorn to learn how to craft your own cough syrups and soothing lung teas while exploring the herbs that support respiration, calm irritation, and help move stagnation from the lungs. This hands-on class focuses on practical preparations you can make at home to care for yourself and your community during cold and allergy season.

Class: Herbal Medicine Chest-Craft Your Own Heart Tonic
Join Samantha Goldberg Blackthorn to craft a delicious heart tonic in glycerine form designed to gently increase energy while encouraging relaxation. Learn what glycerites are, how they differ from tinctures, and why they are such supportive allies for circulation and heart-centered care. Together you will prepare a rose and clove glycerine to take home, blending warmth and softness in one balanced preparation
